Visa and Transportation
The Department can arrange Russian visas for students, as
well as transfers to and from Moscow Sheremetjevo
International Airport or other points of arrival and
departure in Moscow.
Visas -
A full visa support service is available in accordance with
the choice and length of courses. Students should bear in
mind that visas for up to three months are valid for a
single entry and exit, whilst those for a period from three
to twelve months are valid for multiple entries. The
process of obtaining a Russian visa is as follows:
Upon confirmation of course details and, where appropriate,
payment of a deposit, the Faculty arranges an official
invitation through the Ministry of Education. Fees are
shown below.
The original invitation is sent by express mail to the
student.
The student applies for a normal visa application in the
Embassy on or after the date instructed by the Faculty. A
visa will not be issued before this date. For visas with
validity over three months an HIV test may be required.
Students should contact their nearest Russian consulate to
obtain forms and details regarding application
requirements.
The student will have to pay consular fees to the embassy
for a visa to be issued, and these will depend on the
applicant's citizenship and the speed in which the visa
must be issued.
